Thats a great story. I wish I had learned this sooner. I had my trailer taken in broad daylight and when we found it my Craftsman 17.5, Swisher 24 mowers, and two edgers were all gone. I had an idea who did it (a former employee) but without the GPS tracking system I have now I had no way to prove it or recover it.

Great point Eron. I did a little research on Fleetmatics this month when I was looking for a GPS System. I found they were owned by Investcorp. At the time I had no idea what Investcorp was. I discovered that this company was no company at all but rather an Arab Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF). SWFs are a government-controlled pool of assets designed to engage primarily in foreign investments. Well anyway Investcorp, has already “agreed to buy British oil services company Moody International for US$311 million, which includes an undisclosed level of debt. Moody's client base includes energy giants BP, Royal Dutch Shell, Statoil, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Dow Chemicals, Saudi Aramco, Lukoil and Rosneft." Now “Investcorp and a consortium of investors have invested $68 million in the privately funded software-as-a-service firm FleetMatics.”

How in the heck is Fleetmatics going to sell me on fuel efficiency and sell me fuel at the same time? Conflict you think?

I heard about that accident. As a parent, having information to substantiate that your child was not doing anything foolish at the wheel must have been quite comforting. We want to see that case study!

We just implemented our first round of gps systems in only 25 of our vehicles and in 3 months they have paid for themselves. Fuel, theft, labor and production. Thank you to the guys at GPS FleetSolutions. -AM
